What measures does Vélo take regarding Covid-19?

The safety of our riders, crew and entire Vélofam is our highest priority. That's why we've taken a lot of measures at all our locations. We follow government guidelines and disinfect all bikes and high touch areas before each ride.

Do my packages have an expiration date?

Every package has its own expiration date. Are you injured or moving out of town? Get in touch with us and we will find a fitting solution

Can I easily cancel a ride?

Yes you can, just log in and see what rides you’ve scheduled ahead. Click on ‘cancel’ to cancel your reservation. Make sure to do this at least 12 hours before your ride starts, so we refund your credit.

How do I book a ride?

Once you’ve bought your rides you are almost ready to go! Log in to our system and look into our schedule to see when you can come in. Reserve your (numbered) bike in the studio and we will see you soon!

Do I need to create an account in order to join a class?

Yes. It's important for us to know who's riding with us and to have your contact information. Riders can easily create an account online! Just click 'sign in' on our home page.

How do I purchase a ride?

Is it your first time riding with us? If yes, we will ask you to create an account. After you’ve created an account just go to "pricing" to buy one of our packs.

Do you offer a monthly membership?

No, at this time Vélo does not offer memberships.

How does Vélo keep your shoes fresh and clean?

We are the only indoor cycling studio that has a super special machine that cleans 99,5% of the germs after every ride. This way we can ensure that you start every ride with fresh, clean shoes!

What is the minimum age to join a ride?

Working out is awesome and we encourage everyone to join us. However, we do have a minimum age of 15 y/o to join a ride.

Do you have lockers?

At Vélo de Pijp we have lockers in the pre-workout zone and in the changing rooms. The changing rooms are equipped with great showers, fluffy towels, and all things needed to freshen up.

Do you have water or do I have to bring my own?

We sell water bottles for €2. We also have filtered water fountains at the studio if you need to fill up your own bottle.

What do I need to wear and do I need to bring my own shoes?

We suggest wearing a tee or tank and form-fitting pants or shorts. No need to bring special shoes! We offer them free of charge!

What if I can’t do everything in the class? I haven’t worked out in a while.

One of the best things about indoor cycling is that it can be adapted to any fitness level. By adjusting the resistance level on the bike, the workout can suit each rider's abilities. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage first timers to go at their own pace and have fun!

Is there a class for beginners?

Don't worry, you won't need a special class for beginners! Every Vélo ride can be adapted to the rider's level of fitness by adjusting the resistance and pace. We have new riders in almost every Vélo class, so you will be fine!

How is Vélo different from the cycling classes offered at my gym?

Vélo is a full body indoor cycling workout. We ride to the beat of the music and incorporate upper body exercises into our workout.

How do I book my Priority bike?

After buying the Priority Pack you'll receive an e-mail from us with all the needed information! In this e-mail, you get instructions on how to join a ride.

What is a Priority Pack?

The Priority Pack is your full-access pass to the Vélo Rides you love. A concierge service that books you into your favorite rides up to 2 weeks extra before regular booking opens, by simply sending an e-mail to your personal concierge. Is Priority Pack a membership?

No, this is not a membership. Simply a concierge service with a lot of perks that make life easy for you! Its perks can only be honored with active Priority credits.

Can I request a specific bike with my Priority Pack?

Yes! With so many people often requesting the same bikes, we can’t always promise exact bike requests, but we do our best to get the bike you ask for. If we can’t, we’ll find one that makes you just as happy—we promise

How far in advance can I book with my Priority Pack?

You can book bikes up to 4 weeks in advance

Do Priority credits expire?

Our Priority Pack credits are good for 6 months from its date of purchase.
