Boy was born and raised in Harderwijk and has Mediterranean roots. He moved to Amsterdam for his studies and to this day, still enjoys the vibrant city.

Boy initially wanted to become a dentist, but he actually became a lawyer instead. He was introduced to indoor cycling by his sister and loved it so much, that he was a regular rider in front row for a couple of years. One of our lovely instructors told Boy he should audition to become an instructor, since he did classes every morning anyway. He accepted the challenge and stepped out of his comfort zone. And now look where we are...

“I really enjoy the different vibe of Vélo instructors," Boy tells us when we ask him what he likes most about Vélo. "They all have different styles, but they are really good in letting you feel welcome in class. Whether it is your first time on the bike, or your 500th ride with them.”

His favorite quote is: “Do not wait until you feel confident enough to do something. Your confidence builds as you take action.“ That is exactly what you can expect in Boy’s classes - he will let you feel confident enough on the bike to add that little extra resistance and take that little risk to grow.
